Perfecting

I use Adobe Lightroom to:

• crop to subjects,
• adjust exposure & colors, 
• straighten vertical or horizontal,
• reduce red-eye,
• and confirm pixels for print image quality.

COMPOSING

I like clean, elegant layouts. Pictures pop off pages with either black or white backgrounds, designing faster, easier and with greater quality.

I recommend SmugMug or Dropbox.  
Once your private, secure page is set up,
you and your friends simply click and drag images to the shared gallery. Upload daily on multi-day trips to avoid the risk of lost pictures due to an accident such as a broken, stolen or damaged camera ​or filled SD card.

My criteria for photos:

• in focus;
• technically the cleanest images;
• tell the story of your event or tour;
• evoke excitement, wonder, or humor;
• chronological completeness so no day in a multi-day trip is excluded;
